Pure energeitc mad trad music. Acoustic electricity. Differetn influences, different lands, different backgrounds.
Formed in Galway, Ireland in the spring of 2006, the band is comprised of four musicians, two Irish and two Spanish. Ciaran O'Donghaile and Fergal Walsh were taking part in Galway's traditional music scene, playing in many sessions and collaborating with several local bands.
Gabriel Wandelmer and David Cardona arrived to Galway in the summer of 2004 searching for new musical influences thath bring something new to their experience in the traditional music. They decided to put their musical ideas together into one project. That project was Alalé, a band combining different influences and styles. A lot of work was put into the project and Alalé was ready to assemble their first album Wo Japen. Basing their sound on Irish traditional music, Alalé use original compositions mixed with iberian music, mediterranean jazz and oriental music. This creates Alalé's charateristic organic and energetic sound. The live shows are powerful and intense, with different instruments and sounds mixing together. From Ireland to Galicia, from india to the Mediterranean and back to Ireland, the band has a clear intention, make the crowd dance.
"The WAVE were formed 1967 on a Thursday at about 3:15pm in San Jose, New Mexico. Led by charismatic frontman DAVE JAVOO and including (bassist) the fabulously funky, silent but deadly NOAH DEAH They quickly added (drummer) WARREN PEAS and (lead guitarist) ERNEST LEE SINSARE and became the busiest "goodtime goodvibe band" of the era! This lineup gigged continuously for nearly 20 years before taking a well earned break in the fall of 83 to dream it all up again and spend some of the massive fortune saved. It was during this hiatus that Dave happened to find himself" .... More about the Band from their Bebo Page >>
